Welcome! Thank you for stopping by our page and having a look into the world of A Little Sun illustrations.

Our illustrations are meant to inspire and to emphasize laughter, love and universal sadness. Fruit, vegetables and animals are used to convey life's little moments in a tender way - a tiny pea growing inside a peapod (new baby); a hippo marrying a giraffe (non-binary coupling card); hops practicing how to dive in a glass of beer (for everyday!). The accompanying sentiments add another layer to each illustrations. I carefully craft these messages to be universal and original. There are no genders, no race, no ethnicity applied in my characters. A Little Sun is for everyone.

My first painting was the pair of pears. You could say it happened "organically" a pear being the only fruit I happen to have at home while practicing watercolor painting. Once I had two pears painted on the page I could not NOT see how they were a couple in love! I painted the bench, the arms, the legs and the enduring expressions. This is how A little Sun was born.

My husband, daughter and I live near Portland, Oregon where I continue to be inspired by both big and little life events.
